This section is for the 2001 - current XC70 vehicles not the 1998 - 2000 V70 XC's

If you have the 1998 - 2000 V70 XC Volvo wagon, please do not post in this section. This section is for the newer (P2/P3) Volvo XC70's.

XC70 as an SUV? Really? I can tell an XC90 is an SUV. I can even tell that a XC60 is an SUV. But an XC70? Nope, not in my book. It may be a AWD wagon with some plastic side cladding and a little more ride height but it is in no way an SUV. Can my lab or shepherd stand up fully in the back of an SUV? Yes. Can they stand up in the XC70? Nope. Can I park an SUV with a ski box on top in my garage? Nope. Can I get in with the XC70? Yep. Will my wife drive an SUV (XC90)? Yes. Will my wife drive an XC70? Nope.

XC70 is not a SUV. It is a V70 with AWD, side cladding, and a slightly extended ride height.

Of course, this is just my opinion, like everything else.

Hi Patrick, my bad, I have edited the post that I made. I moved a post to this section and found all kinds of '98 - '00 V70 threads here and knew that wasn't meant to be. Then I got confused and moved a lot of the XC threads to the V70 section because many of them were P1 cars.

I have sent a message to the powers that be asking them to clearify the year models they want here so people can get the help they need.

No problem - just having a little fun after a long day of number crunching.

I had the XC60 confused with the XC70. We currently don't have a XC60 section.

I have a 2001 V70XC - my post was moved to the V70 section. According to the forum description, the model I have (P2 base) should be in this forum...
