Should i buy a 1999 xcv70

Is there anything i need to know about these and is 4800 a good price car has 112kmiles

Wow, 45 reads and no reply?!

Car should:

Have had the timing belt done.
Shift smooth under regular and hard acceleration.
Have no vibrations at all. (Driveshaft & angle drive can be problematic, but should be good with 112k miles.)
Have no fluids leaking.
Have no oil stains on top or front of engine or any hoses/tubing. (PCV system maintenance)
Should not smoke at all.

As for the price - see what others have sold for in your area.

Is there any difference from 99 to 02?
I'm looking at an 02, 122K miler.
Any other things to look for?

'98-'00 were built on V70 chassis. After '00, XC70 got their own chassis. Look at reliability ratings for them at MSN auto.

V70

I personally would buy the 99' because of the chassis. There is less roll on the older models. I have had this car off the road into a deep ditch, and it didn't roll. But my moms 03' xc70 has tons of roll through the corners.

Something to think about

Aftermarket sway bars can cure that.
