Should i buy a 1999 xcv70
Is there anything i need to know about these and is 4800 a good price car has 112kmiles

Car should: Have had the timing belt done. Shift smooth under regular and hard acceleration. Have no vibrations at all. (Driveshaft & angle drive can be problematic, but should be good with 112k miles.) Have no fluids leaking. Have no oil stains on top or front of engine or any hoses/tubing. (PCV system maintenance) Should not smoke at all. As for the price - see what others have sold for in your area. |

Is there any difference from 99 to 02?
I'm looking at an 02, 122K miler. Any other things to look for? |
'98-'00 were built on V70 chassis. After '00, XC70 got their own chassis. Look at reliability ratings for them at MSN auto.

I personally would buy the 99' because of the chassis. There is less roll on the older models. I have had this car off the road into a deep ditch, and it didn't roll. But my moms 03' xc70 has tons of roll through the corners.
