Stranded!
 

Help.... my 1998 xc70 hardly starts, then dies unless we depress accelerator. It only runs in park if we floor it. I could cry.

Please help.

Idle motor been cleaned lately?

When was the last tune up and fuel filter change? Is the check engine light on??

Thanks for your replies, guys. I bought the car used in Nov. It had been kept up well. There was no forewarning to the problem. It just started, spat, and conked out and the end of the driveway. We started it again, but it wouldn't stay started unless we floored it. I'm checking into your suggestions on Tuesday.

Any other ideas comment are really appreciated.:rolleyes:

Also the Mass Flow sensor could be bad.
