Vibration

I have an 2004 XC70 with 58,000 miles. I took the car to the dealer for 60,000 regular service, they replaced two tires, two stabilizer bars in the rear, an exhaust mount and did some transmission work (they said the transmission was burning fluid) and a front end alignment.

Now, when I drive the car the transmission seems to slip going from 1st to 2nd gear but only when the car is first warming up. As well, when I hit the accelerator or hit the breaks the steering wheel pulls dramatically to the left. And, this is really killing me, the steering wheel and break pedals, and sometime the entire car have a constant but slight vibration. On the highway the car drifts dramatically to the left. Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

I have taken the car back to the dealer for a 2nd look but they say nothing is wrong with the car - that the alignment is fine and the steering wheel issue is "torque steer".

RE: Vibration

Did you drive with the service manager?
If not return and make sure you drive with him and show him.

RE: Vibration

If they still cannot hep you, go to an independant tire shop and have them take a look at it. Even though they say it is fine, I suspect alignment or a bad tire
