When the brakes are wet, squealing noise
A friend has a 2004 XC-70 he bought pre-owned/certified.
I've noticed when it rains, and the brakes are seemingly wet, the car will make a squealing 'alarm' type noise, that fades in and out, periodically. Nothing lights up on the dash. It's hard to tell where this noise is coming from, but, we assumed it had something to do with brake-drying or maybe it was lightly applying pressure to dry them off. Seems to only do it when it rains. Is this common? Is this intentionally designed? Curious! |

Try removing the pads and putting some anti-squeal compound on the back of them. It worked on our XC-70
