XC 70 lunging & idiling

I have a 2001 XC70 we put a new transmission in from the dealer a year ago and it came with a 1 year warranty. Today the car seems like it's not down shifting properly. When you approach a red light and right when the car stops it lunges forward like it's still in a higher gear and then will idle funny up and down until the light turns green. It shifts up with out any problems and we had the timing belt replaced when they did the tranny maybe 15,000 miles ago..

Has anyone heard of anything similiar to this I'd like to avoid scams from the dealer because I dont know what it could be?

Try cleaning the throttle body and see if that helps.

If the throttle body is bad and you are less than 10 years old and 200,00 miles it is under warranty through Volvo.
But there would need to be codes in the engine computer that leads to it being bad.
