I am looking at 2003-2006 XC90's.

I have read about the transmission problems but they seem to be related to the T6 models.

Is it just the T6's that have the transmission problems or are they all the same?

I am looking at T2.5, 5cly.

Yes, largely just the T6. There have been some V8 owners who've had some transmission difficulty as well, but there's nothing like the history of T6 problems.

If you do decide to go with the V8 be careful of the 2005 model as they had a number of CB shaft bearing failures that require engine replacement.
