2006 XC90 headlights and tail lights always on
The head/tail lights on my '06 are always on no matter what time of day. If the key is on so are the lights. If I am sitting, parked with the engine running, the lights are on. I do not have the "auto-aiming" option and I don't have the Bi-Zenon lights, as far as I know. My dashboard controls have 3 positions, O, parking and headlights. Also, and probably associated with the lights, is the intensity of the dashboard lights. In the daytime, they can hardly be seen, and that's with brightness control at max. My understanding is that the "O" position is the auto position and that the lights will cycle between the DRL's and normal headlights depending on outdoor brightness but I haven't seen the DRL's come on.
Thanks in advance for any knowledge you can give me! |

**Update**
After hours of searching online posts and Volvo related websites and replacing the "Sun Load Sensor" I have confirmed that this Volvo does indeed incorporate CEM programming that activates ALL lights to on, at ALL times. Instead of paying the cost of taking it to the only local Volvo dealership and have them re-program it I bought a new Volvo DiCE w/VIDA and turned them off myself. The DiCE unit paid for itself the first time I used it.
