Default 2010 XC90 V6 3.2- Bogging Down on Accelleration

I recently had my engine light come on. I attached an (Innova) OBD2 reader and received generic trouble code P001D "A" Camshaft Profile Control Circuit/Open Bank 2. A visit to http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/ offered : The "A" camshaft shall be either the "intake," "left," or "front" camshaft. Left/Right and Front/Rear are determined as if viewed from the driver's seating position. Bank 1 contains cylinder number one, Bank 2 is the opposite bank.

Now I notice that when accelerating to pass or go uphill, the vehicle boggs down. Is this consistent with a malfunction of a Cam Position sensor?
Are the OBD2 results consistent with a malfunctioning Camshaft Position Sensors

If so, can you help confirm the identity of the sensor (s) and how to isolate which one it might be. The attached photo is of the top of my motor. I believe that the two cam position sensors are on the top and to the right (driver side) and have a green mark on the top of each one. But I'm not sure.

Is there a safe and easy way to test the sensors?

Thank you
Sean

Default Update

Good News and Bad News.
After painstakingly searching and testing, I located a wire going to my Variable Timing Valve Solenoid (???-I found 4 different names that this part goes by while checking various part sites). It was missing a 1 inch section of wire, hence the open circuit. Sabotage? No, probably a rat who took a liking to the flavourful Swedish wiring. A colleague recently had over $2000 in wiring damage do to a rat problem.
I was able to jump solder a wire but would like to replace the connector with a new pigtail wired connector.
Questions:
Anyone know the name or part number/name of this particular connector?
I do not have a Vida but I'm tempted to order one on line (ebay) ...any comments?
Any repair manuals out there that are worthwhile? It's been a real struggle to get any basic diagrams. The Library has minimal info on Volvo and since I can't read Swedish the foreign blogs are of little use.
This is my first Volvo and I've been very disappointed with the dealer and their very expensive misdiagnosis -But we love the vehicle.
Comments and private emails are welcomed.
Sean
