2016 cpo xc90
Hi all I'm looking at a CPO 2016 t6 inscription XC90. However, I have read a number of horror stories on here. Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone thinks this car is worth it and isn't a nightmare reliability wise?
Thank you in advance
Thank you in advance
I purchased my 2016 CPO XC90 R Design about 6 months ago. The CPO is what sold me to purchase the car as I too had some reservations about reliability.
Love the vehicle and plan to keep it. I did run into the leaking roof issue and also had my spark plugs replaced (per the Volvo campaign). My dealer knew about the issues, arranged for a prompt repair and all is good for the last 4 months. Reading most of the complaints, the issues lie largely with Sensus issues. With the November 2017 update, most bugs have been cured with occasional lags at startup the most frequent gripe. I would make sure you ask the dealer t update all software before you take possession, maps included.
If you review Consumer Reports--you will notice that they knock the vehicle largely for the tech. CR does not like the iPad like interface. But when you look at the other important considerations, such as the drivetrain, the XC90 is solid. It is lso why there is relatively high owner satisfaction.
I opted for the Polestar software and am much happier with the engine/transmission performance. It will never be a drag racer, but the pull in the mid-range (e.g., passing gears) is solid.
Good luck with your search.
