2016 xc90 trailer hitch

Hello,

I am wondering if any one got trailer hitch for 2016 xc90. I am looking to get one, so that I can put all the bikes on it. Please do let me know if you prefer from dealer or from outside.

Thanks

How are you liking yours so far?

I'm not sure where you all are located U-Haul is what I recommend to people asking about trailer hitches at my shop. They can tell you if your car can handle the weight you are looking to carry, sell the parts you need, install them on your car/truck and warranty their work at their multiple locations nation wide. They also sell and install oil and transmissions coolers if you don't have one already.

Propane refill prices are pretty reasonable also.

(No I don't work for U-Haul, they are often over looked for their services)

I had a trailer hitch installed on my 2016 XC90 by the dealer and it has worked well. I only tow a small utility trailer with two kayaks - 600 lbs. loaded. The only complaint I have is that the Volvo hitch pin comes with what amounts to a big cotter pin which does not give one a lot of comfort. However, there is not enough room to insert a receiver lock pin that you can normally get from a trailer parts store. I got around this by drilling out the Volvo hitch pin in order to insert a small padlock like you would use to lock down the trailer hitch. The Volvo dealer also trims the existing bumper in order to install the hitch. does not look all that great, but a black cover is provided to hide the hitch when not in use.

Can you please provide insight into the installed price for the hitch?
