My XC90 stops cooling, then I recharge the system whit a can from autozone, I used those before in my S40, but this time the a/c compressor doesn't engage right just for short moments, then the air isn't cold

What is it?

 

Not enough refrigerant.

I try more refrigerant, using a can with the meter I leave it in the "filled" zone but still in the same. I already check the relay and fuse, anyway was working well and you always noticed when the refrigerant is finishing after a couple of years.

I'm going to try going to with a guy to check if the psi are the right one or stills not enough.

Had the same issue with mine. Ended up taking shims out of the compressor. I got the info from a member here.

 

On a different vehicle, I had used a similar can of UV light freon, and put too much in. There is a sweet spot if you can hit it. It is worth taking it to a shop, (I brought it in on a free A/C inspection)

 

Free A/C inspection? Wow where is that?

The system was charged in place related with it, now works poor but when I turn on the Rear A/C. Works good, that's mean more gas or has two compressor?
