Default Can you help?

My XC90 blower motor runs until the battery dies. Started taking out the fuse. After alot of research decided to replace the blower motor resistor. Doing that today. Also, the reduced engine performance light came on about 2 weeks ago. Brought to the dealer, wanted to charge me 1800$ to change the throttle body. Said it was bad. I have a T6 turbo, is the throttle body job to much for one guy to handle in his garage? Thanks!

intresting what codes is it throwing at you? if the reduced engine preformance light is pointing toward the throttle body id take it to a volvo service center its what i do for all my major things i only do oil changes spark plugs and brakes by myself everything else its to volvo i dont bother with these secondary shops either i feel they are inept when it comes to repairing higher end cars such as ours.

*giggle* You take it to Volvo, right? Except when you plug an AC leak with JB Weld, then dump refrigerant in without gauges? See here: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...-urgent-55719/

Doesn't sound like you used gauges. Sounds like you stuck some JB Weld onto a high-pressure air conditioning line, then dumped a can of refrigerant in it. That's got the potential to ruin your whole air conditioning system, but hey, it's your car.

when i got the Compressor clutch replaced after it shorted out tech said it was charged to the right setting and was not losing any freon.
