How do you know rotor size on '05 XC90 2.5T AWD
Hi everyone, I am about to purchase front brake pads but I don't know what size rotors I have. Can someone tell me how to tell? Also, I have the original pads at 49000 miles! This is my wife's car and she is not an agressive driver but 49k on one set??? That's just amazing. Anyway, I have no idea what brand or type to buy. I don't want anything fancy. Just something that won't eat my rotors faster than it should. I am not planning to turn them or replace them by the way. I read in this forum that rotors can be used for two sets of pads. If anyone can suggest a place to buy the pads that would be great too. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi nelaco,
See the following thread located a few pages back here in the XC90 section. It talks about rotor part numbers and sizing. Your dealer or a good parts supplier should also be able to provide you with thepart numbers / parts you need after you tell them the configuration of your XC90: https://volvoforums.com/m_101516/tm.htm We got similar life out of our front rotors, and had the dealer replace them at around 55K miles as I recall. We did both front pads and rotors as a set, incidentally, and is recommended. The rear pads/rotors are factory original at 67K miles. |

Thank you. Appreciate your help. The dealer told me to remove the wheel and measure the rotor.
