On my 2006 XC90, I want to be able to turn OFF all headlights/parking lights, while the car is running. Anyone know how to do this?
Another thing: the 'off' position on my light switch turns off the headlight, but when i remove the key, the tail and front marker lights stay ON? What's the purpose of this?
thanks

This is a dealer only function, not an operator function. The next time your getting a service, ask them (nicely) to throw in this change when they connect their computer to reset your service light. Ask them to turn off the daytime running lights. Otherwise it is a computer hookup charge.
The issue of the lights staying on after removing the key is likely a timer for nightime illumination, a safety "feature". The owners manual may discribe the operation. As you probably know you can also turn on the area lighting feature by pressing the yellow button on your remote.

Thanks for reply, but i should've been more discriptive.
I want the daytime driving lights ON while driving, but want to be able turn OFF all lights while car is parked but engine on (don't ask, but i've got a good reason to do this periodically).
2nd problem: with key out, if the light switch is in the 'off' postion, the parking lights stay ON indefinitely!! what's with that?
thanks
