Load and Speed Rating - Volvo XC 90 Inscription

Hi All,
I have a 2017 XC90 Inscription.
I have 21inch tires which I am looking to downgrade to 19inch as 21 inch tires and a lot more expensive and always out of stock at most places. I am looking at 19inch tires but most have H speed rating and 101 Load

Volvo recommends V speed rating and 101 (104 extra load) Load.

anyone have experience running 101H? Are they safe? Do they have any impact on the suspension etc? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Speed rating of the tire won't have any impact on the suspension. As to road feel, its the tread design you will notice. For example, european designed tires like Contis/Pirellis/Michs tend to have a rolled side of the tread which helps the tire track straighter on crowned roads (more typical of Europe vs US) - so these tires will "nibble" less (ie follow joints/cracks in the road). As to load rating - unless you pull a trailer or fully load up the car, this really won't matter. You can easily find V rated or higher load rating in 19 inch tires. Check out tirerack.com for all the specifications and recommendations of tire type ie summer vs all season, performance vs touring etc.

Most important thing to do is to a) get wheels/tires appropriate to your model (ie correct rim width/offset, tire width/aspect ratio) and b) choose your tire model based on your driving/location. A good resource for seeing what's appropriate is wheel-size.com
