Low beam bulb failure BOTH SIDES?
hello I am wondering if anyone can help me figure out what the devil is wrong with my low beam headlights. Two days ago I got the low beam bulb failure message. I figured it was a bulb which I have replaced before. Both sides are out, I checked the fuses and they are both ok. I own a 2007 xc90 3.2l with standard bulbs any suggestions? I would hate to replace the obvious culprit
(bulbs) because I refuse to believe both went out at the same time. Help is much appreciated. |
If the bulbs went out and the filament are bad then replace the bulbs

For whatever reason Volvo's eat headlight bulbs. Until you verify this is not the issue I wouldn't chase other possibilities. While you are there inspect the connectors as Volvo's are also famous for melting those.

They eat bulbs because most of the time they are always on.

Folks the bulbs look fine any other suggestions? the high beams work fine and the fuses are ok as well. They standard lights so they shouldn't have ballasts correct?
