Misfire
Hi there! We have a 2006 Volvo XC90 with 230,000 miles and last year we replaced ignition coil 4 and 5. About a week ago, it started to feel like a rough idle at traffic lights. I took it to Auto Zone for the codes and there were none. The Check Engine light had come on for about 1 minute in that time, but never stayed on. After I left Auto Zone, I took it for a ride and really stepped on the gas and sure enough, it started to misfire badly and the Check Engine light came on. I went right back to Auto Zone and the codes read, Misfire in Ignition Coil #1, #2, and #4. Any thoughts? I checked the spark plugs and they look fine. The spark plugs have 15,000 miles. I also just cleaned the MAF sensor. Looking for some help! Thank you.
curious why you cleaned the MAF and what product you used. Given you have multiple cylinders misfiring, I'd be leaning towards a fuel mix issue vs plugs/coils. Obviously a misbehaving MAF or an intake air leak (torn boot, vacuum line etc) or throttle body would cause the fuel trim to be off and create a misfire.
