Need DVD player help!
 

Hello all, I've got a 2006 XC90 with the console mounted DVD player and headrest screens. We just had the DVD unit replaced as it quit working. The old remote we have has 2 missing buttons, so we bought a genuine Volvo remote ($120). The issue I am having now is, the only thing either remote is good for is to turn the unit on or select video, menu and volume options. The bottom DVD function buttons (like the FFWD, RWD, PLAY etc) do not work on any remote, even a 3rd one tried at the Volvo dealership. Just wanted to see if anyone has ever came across this issue and what they did to fix it. I'm in desperate need of a solution. Thank you in advance.

I have just bought a 2003 xc90. My dvd has power and both screens show no signal. There is a rounds philips box with leds. But it didnt come with a remote. Do i need the remote?
