Ready to purchase '04 XC90
 

Greetings, all. I am in the process of purchasing my first SUV and have narrowed it down to a Volvo XC90 or a BMW X5. I really like the looks and safety rating of the Volvo and am leaning toward it. I will not be purchasing new, but am looking for a 2004 model. Any comments, suggestions or hesitations about me buying the '04 model? Were all of the "bugs" worked out of it by then? Anyone out there who has had experience with both the XC90 and the BMW X5?

Roger, we purchased our XC90 on 2004 and it is great. Make sure you get a sunroof. Also, we decided to invest on the rubber mats to protect the original mats and we do not regret it. I love the T6 vs. T5 or else. It has more power and it is in the middle between the 4 cylinder and the V8 engines. The only issue, in progress, is that our tires are wearing and tearing at a premature rate and we do not know the cause, yet. So, just ensure your XC90 does not have this problem. I recommed this vehicle; my daughters love the XC90.
