Hello, i am new to this forum and am looking for some solid tech info which is difficult to find on this car. My XC90 V8 has 67,650K miles and seems to be doing all right. Just two questions at this point;
How do I check the driveshafts for wear/play (from owners manual) when they are buried above the exhaust system?
How do I replace the spark plugs which are due @ 75k? Is this feasible with ordinary tools?

to replace spark plugs you remove engine cover (pulls staight up), then remove coils, then you get to spark plugs.
If you do it, reply how difficult it was

OK, thanks for that. Do you have any idea what procedure Volvo techs use to check wear/play on the drive shafts? I'm only asking because I can't get near them to twist or shake the actual joints. Visually there are no clues.
