Road noise
I have a 2005 XC90 2.5 with 112000 miles. It has been a great car for my wife's commute to work and our annual 1500 mile road trip to the beach.
Since I do not drive the car daily, I noticed that it has a lot more road noise when I got into it recently. By road noise, I am referring to wind noise and the tinny sound you would get with a lack of insulation. Has anyone replaced the weather stripping around the doors? Did it help? Is there insulation in the doors or other panels that would deteriorate? Can those be replaced? I am finally to the point of replacing spring seats to help with the noise in the front end. Thanks for any help |
I had road noise on my XC 90 and it was the bushings on my front tires. I have since replaced both sides.

Are you talking about the lower A arm bushings, sway bar bushings or the strut tower rubber?
I will probably be replacing all. I am at 120K and still going strong |
