Sunvisor vanity mirror
Hi all, new guy here with a question.
I have a 2011 XC90, purchased new. It's been a very good vehicle.
The only things that have happened to it in the last 9 years are the anti-skid light, which I still have to get repaired, and one of the fittings for the windshield washers broke and I had to replace that.
This morning, I replaced the cabin air filter, and remembered my wife had asked me to look into why the passenger side vanity mirror lights weren't working.
After looking on line and seeing a youtube clip on how to get to the bulbs, I thought it would be a simple task to remove the mirror, pop out the two good bulbs, and swap them for the bad ones to see if the problem was the bulb or switch.
Getting the mirror to pop out didn't go so well. The mirror's broken.
So my first question is, does Volvo sell just the mirror? Perhaps I'm not looking at the best parts website, but it seems all I can find is the complete visor assembly.
Second, is there a special tool required to remove the mirror without breaking it?
Thanks for any thoughts and suggestions.
Kurt
