Default Xc90 03 D5AWD WON'T START

Hi
Got an 03 D5 which won't start but is turning over makes a lot of clicking noises and cd player goes a bit mad for a while then beeps 3 times. I've tried jumping and disconnecting battery but problem remains. Approximately 10 minutes before problem happened I started and drove it to move around drive.

Any advice greatfully received as has caused no end of problems including new (reconditioned after 75k miles) engine at 112,000 miles a few months ago. Just been serviced and cost another grand but has been running well for last few weeks.

Why don't you post your thread on Volvo Forum UK, you will probably get a better feed back because members on this forum are mostly Americans, and as you know diesel engine XC90s are not available in the U.S

clicking usually means battery is not strong enough to turn starter. try fully charging the battery with a battery charger. if battery is really weak, sometimes jumping won't work unless you leave the cables connected for some time (like half hour) before trying to jump it.
