The Bosch throttle bodies used after 2002 do not need "reprogramming" as in a software download using VIDA like the 99-01(04 for c70) throttles did. There is a adaptation or initialization process - but they are plug and play and will work just fine after simply bolting it on. I've installed a couple. (that may not have been needed due to later discovered wiring problems, and lost a customer for the first replacement. The next one I tried a used part and had the same problems. Reinstalled the original and then found the real problem) There is replacement wiring available from Volvo - it was discovered that it was not the throttle housing but the connections on the wiring going to it that caused throttle problems.
Why are you replacing yours?
Why are you replacing yours?

I have swapped the throttle body in my 2011 xc90 3.2 with a used one from the auto parts store. The original TB plate was stuck and the suv was in reduce engine performance mode. The obd2 code was P061F. I did not disconnected the battery while swapping the TB (my mistake). I was getting the same limp mode issue after swapping. Then I disconnected the both the battery terminals for one hour. Then I connected the battery, put key in ignition 2 for 30 sec and started the suv and idled for three minutes. It fixed the issue. I did not have to do any re-programming.
