Yaw sensor - 1st temp, then req'd
I have searched and read everything I can about this guy... Anyway, sunroof drain clogged, yaw sensor diagnosed ny dealer as bad - quoted $1,400. I decided to pull the carpets myself. Upon inspecting the yaw sensor, I noted one of the pin connections had rotted out. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I hard wired the connection from the sensor to the corresponding plug.
Now instead of displaying the "Anti-Skid Service Required Message", I first get a "Anti-Skid Temporarily Off" message everything I start the car, but it only lasts a few seconds and then it changes to the "Anti-Skid Service Required" message.
Because of the change in message, the hard wiring for the rotted out connection has done something, but why does it change from the temporarilyu off to service required message. I thought when I saw the temporaily off message it would reset itself as I read where that happened for someone else who put in a salvage yard sensor. Is there something I need to do to clear the code?
