Wheel options for a XC60 PE
Hey guys so just recently picked up a 2021 xc60 polestar engineered. Love the car and it has the 22" wheels from factory. Wanting to save those for summers and get an all season set up in the coming months. I am wanting to do a 20x10" wheel and run possibly a 285/40R20 for fall/winter etc. Wanting something that looks nice and aggresive yet serve it's purpose. My questions are in regards to clearing those huge brakes upfront, will 20" wheels work? And offsets? I've tried looking up some info but there's not much out there I could find. OEM 22 specs are 22x9 et43 running a 265/35r22. Ideal set up would be as I said a 20x10 square set up running a 285/40R20 all season.
This is my first Volvo and first hybird. I have owned an X5 prior to this and ran a staggered set up on it (20x10.5) out back. Im now sure if staggered is safe on these hence wanting to so a square set up

for any AWD car, you'll want the same tire circumference front/rear per the vendor sizing specs if possible to minimize crabbing when the diffs are locked (not sure of the design of the center diff but for most the "AWD" cars, they are not driving all four unless the center diff is locked). Best way to ensure that is to run the same size rim/tires all around. Second point is if you live where it snows, you want narrower tires for winter not wider. Wide tires will float on top of the snow, narrow tires will cut through and the extra traction comes from the outside lugs on the tire tread which is why winter tires are better in snow than all seasons, plus winter tires are softer rubber for dealing with the cold. Check out wheel-size.com for what rim/tire combos are recommended for your model. If you live where its more rain/less snow then all seasons are best as they have wider channels for water dispersion than summer treads.

Thanks for the reply, it won't actually be driven very much so in the snow if I'm being honest. Hence me wanting a half decent set of wheels. Yes I completely understand narrower tires in the snow. But I just want a nice looking and clean set up for daily driver duties in the rain and cold.
my biggest concern in clearing the Polestars front brakes, hence asking if 20x10" wheels can be run on it and at what offset, etc.
