I am looking to make a few small performance mods to the engine of my S40. I can't help but notice, there's no boost gauge. I'd like to monitor the turbo for any increase or decrease:( in boost pressure resulting from my mods. I've never had to install one before and I want to make sure I do it right, so lend me your expertise. How would I go about properly installing a boost gauge?

1. Purchase a boost gauge of your preference. I personally like AutoMeter.
2. I currently do not know of any A-pillar gauge pods for the s40. Thusly...
3. Thusly, you will need to custom mount it somewhere.
a. Custom A-pillar gauge pod if possible.
b. Custom vent location
c. Dash
d. Steering wheel column
e. Etc...
4. Run all the lines and wires and you set.

you should get an autometer boost gauge for sure, and the you can get a greddy A pillar, you would just have to do a little modifcation to have it fit perfectly. Mine is just shoved into the dash and stays put.
