Default another gauge question - boost gauge

ALso installing a boost gauge this weekend - need to know what the best way to tap into the hoses to get good read on the gauge. I know I could tee off of the boost gauge on the back of the dash with no problem, but is it better to run a separate line off from somewhere else? I dont need to do it the easy way, i need to do it the RIGHT way. Thanks in advance.

The best way is to attach your Pressure line to the vacuum tree right next to the throttle body.

there is a firewall pass thru on both sides of the car... I cant find the one on the drivers side I think its below the pass thru for the other wires behind the abs set-up... but it will look like this...

This is the one on passenger side...
Its behind the strut housing..

Why dont you disconnect the existing gauge and connect to the line already in the car? Do you need both gauges?

Boxpin: i was concerned about the condition of the factory vacuum line - i mean, it's 17+ years old and i was thinking that it might save me issues down the road to have new line run to the gauge to make sure it's reading accurately. Am I wrong in thinking this? If so, I would have no issue doing it that way - it would save a lot of time for me.

That's what I did. So much easier then running the vacuum line through the firewall.

I teed off the boost guage line in the engine bay then ran a new line thru the firewall on the drivers side and worked great
