'97 960: Anyone know a trick for loosening the input line to the fuel filter? I can't get great leverage working under the jacked-up car, but managed to break the output side loose using all my might! But I'm only managing to round off the nut on the input side. Tried a vice-grip - can't budge it! Any tips? THANKS!!

There should be a molded hex "nut" on the filter. It might only be on one side. You need to hold that with a wrench, and loosen the bolt.
A good trick with tight bolts is to try tighteneing them first, just a little, then try loosening the bolt. This will also save some knuckle skin!
It's also helpful on these type of bolts to remove them with a pnuematic impact gun.
Make sure when you remount the filter that the lines arent rubbing against the body.

Thanks for the response. I attacked it from another angle, got better leverage, and broke it loose. I guess there is no trick, just torque!
