Are thereany privateindependent Volvo techs in the west Chicago Suburbs. I live in Naperville. I get my car serviced at Volvo of Lisle but the labor rate is a little high so I would like to save of money.

I've been taking my S40 to Volvo of Lisle (http://volvooflisle.com/) for a couple of years. But I'd look through the forums here a bit, I've seen one or two threads from owners who've done some of the things you list for themselves... It'll save you some cash.

$103.50 per hour? Holy crap! My shop is at $60.00 per hour.

I agree with Johnny Mullet! That's a lot of money per hour! Though I guess they have to pay for the nice waiting area at the Stealership. The place I was going to and having my 850 serviced at has labor at $70 per hour and they service Mercedes along with Bmw and Volvo. I would look for an independent Volvo shop around you.
