Are thereany privateindependent Volvo techs in the west Chicago Suburbs. I live in Naperville. I get my car serviced at Volvo of Lisle but the labor rate is a little high so I would like to save of money.

A & R Volvo Service Center on North Avenue in Villa Park. You can find them by googling them. Been in business for over 30 years.

 

I've been taking my S40 to Volvo of Lisle for a couple of years. But I'd look through the forums here a bit, I've seen one or two threads from owners who've done some of the things you list for themselves... It'll save you some cash.

 

$103.50 per hour? Holy crap! My shop is at $60.00 per hour.

 

I agree with Johnny Mullet! That's a lot of money per hour! Though I guess they have to pay for the nice waiting area at the Stealership. The place I was going to and having my 850 serviced at has labor at $70 per hour and they service Mercedes along with Bmw and Volvo. I would look for an independent Volvo shop around you. Good Luck in your search!

 

I'm looking for someone in the city or close in N, NW suburbs. I live on NW side of Chicago. I have a good mechanic, but wouldn't mind finding some one who knows the ins and outs of volvos if they are cheap.

$70, Somthngfrce? That is a pretty fair, where is this?
