Default ’75 245 exhaust system.

I’m about to replace the exhaust downpipe on my ’75 245, the original cracked in two just before it connects to the manifold. Probably due to heat and stress rather than rust, but I haven’t been able to get a real close look at it because it’s hard to get at from above on a B20. I was wondering if y’all had any advice about this procedure before I start.

Putt putt putt putt, it’s sounded like a motorcycle over the last few weeks. That can't be legal. Or healthy.

www.fcpgroton.com for exhaust parts or www.rockauto.com usually these two are the most inexpensive for parts. Exhausts are never fun but the volvo's nuts and bolts are large so don't often break. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a can of PB Blaster (I think you can get it at walmart, autozone, or advance) Puts the old liquid wrench to shame ...................but I like the way it (liquid wrench) smells. Now it I could only get a tart to wear it...we could call it liquid wench.

I already have the pipe, cost me twenty bucks, was only able to get it home by virtue of owning a station wagon.
