244 vs 245 exhaust/cat back
HI all,
Can anyone tell me off the top of their head whether or not a sedan muffler would fit on a wagon 240. I don't see any differences from what I've looked up.
I found a guy with a sedan who upgraded his exhaust and is getting rid of his old exhaust on craigslist (would you be worried to buy this?). Mine is about shot so I figure I'll put this one on and see how long it will stay pieced together. While I'm at it, I might just eliminate the cat (any good ideas for that?).
Thanks for the help,
Zloe

The entire exhaust system for the 244 & 245 are the same. I know, I have swapped one from a wrecked '89 245 onto a '91 244.
I don't know if I would by used unless it is really cheap. Sometimes mufflers can look fine from the outside but are ready to rust through from the inside. Just my opinion though.
In the case where I did the swap, I knew the condition of the exhaust system from the 245 I was taking it from since 245 was mine (my son wrecked it).
