This is what happens to you when other people talk on the phone and don't pay attention to the road.
This is my buddy's car.
I hear the Navigator was worse.

Thank God everyone was fine.
If you look closely at the closeup pick of the trunk you will see an Impression of the Navigator grill.

insurance companies are weird. my dad had a 96 toyota tacoma that he bought for $3600. lent it to one of his employees, she wrecked it, state farm game him $7200 and i coulda fixed the thing on a week-end.
This was to bad to fix. The roof was buckled and so was the rear body under the car.
I would have had to be cut between the front and rear doors and an entire rear of the car would have to be installed.
Also forgot to add this car was a Platinum edition 1 of 1,200 made.
Yup and a Young girl on a Cell Phone!!!!
She never even touched the brake before hitting him.
Greetings from Chicagoland.
Here's my prejudice based on my personal observations.
7 out of 10, it is females that talk on cell phones while driving.
SUV stands for "Significantly Useless Vehicles". Or if you prefer, "Sport Futility Vehicles"
As to using cell phones on the road and the craze for SUV's, I blame the TV shows. Some people want to act like TV stars unconsciously or consciously, and hence their behaviour. I wonder if they remember the oil crisisaround 1973. Or, it's one of those psychological behaviour that goes "everyone has one, so I've gotta have one" deals.
As an eccentric man (black sheep of Japan), SUV's never attracted me. Even if they were less expensive than passenger cars, I still wouldn't buy them.
Cell phonewasone of the mistakes for humans, except they do their jobs in certain emergencies. Only about 20% of the users seem to have common sense & manners in using them. But for the rest of the 80%, it's like giving toys to monkeys. In Japan, things are much worse when it comes to using cell phones.
Too much freedom corrupts mankind, I'd like to add.
Thank you Mr, Tech, I'llkeep more distance fromcell phone using drivers, especially those on SUV's!
Sincerely,
JPN

ouch, not fun.
On the SUV thing: Yeah, I think most (not all though) SUVs look pretty bad. Though I have seen some that I do like (I like the XC90 for instance, if I had to drive an SUV that is what I would drive.)
As for cell phones, it depends. I personally cannot drive and talk at the same time, I KNOW i would get into a wreck, so I don't do it. (with the exception of quick 20 second phone calls, getting directions, etc)
