Talking Turn Signal Error

I was wondering if someone could point me to the right direction. My right turn signal is faster than the right and it is displaying error on the dashboard. I have checked all my light bulbs on the right. Front, Side, and Back. All of them are functional. What else could it be?

Default Similar Issue

I had a similar issue. Left turn signal indicated a bulb failure in the dash - but all bulbs appeared to be working. I ended up letting it go for a couple of months and when the car was at the dealer - yesterday - they replaced the module for about $10.

Many times the bulb will still "appear" to work, but is faulty. Based on your description, I would first attempt to take the bulb out and ensure no obvious problems. Ensure that you do not touch the bulb with your bare hands as this could leave a film that can affect the bulbs performance. Ensure you look at the bulb socket (between the bulb and the wiring harness. Most likely your bulb or socket is bad. You can go to an auto parts store and get a new bulb for $10.00 (come is pairs), or replace the socket (must get from dealer or volvo part supplier) for $10.00. The socket comes with a new bulb already installed. Because the right side is the problem, it is harder to get to. I would seriously consider simply replacing the socket as this has a high failure rate. Hope this helps.

Just had the same problem with a 01 S60. I replaced the lamp module or whatever the plastic piece is called that the bulb twists into. It was $17 bucks at the dealer. Saw it for $10 on +$8 for shipping.

The bulb socket is the main cause of the issue you have. I replace alot of them.

Default Left Turn Signals

Hi all, I too have the "failed" left turn signal, while all the bulbs operate. I've replaced all bulbs, replaced the front left socket, tested continuity on the left rear bulb array...all to no avail.

Does anyone have a next step or should I just live with it?

S60 that my 18 year old has absconded.....
