1975 245DL stalls on tight turns.
The car already idles down when I turn the wheel due to the aging power steering, but lately if I turn tightly with the clutch disengaged it stalls entirely. The speed at which it stalls is considerably faster than I really need to go, and I can avoid the problem by keeping the clutch engaged going around turns but still it bothers me. I've still got at least eight gallons left in the tank, unless the thirty-three-year-old fuel gauge is less than accurate. Also when I'm low enough on fuel to lose it on tight corners I'm low enough to lose it on hills and quick starts, which I haven't yet.
