Exclamation Dashboard Instruments

Hi there,
I'm new to the forum, so Hello

I have a 1996 volvo 850 AWD.

Yesterday when i turned it on none of the dashboard instruments worked.
They haven't played up before, I've just had a few electrical faults with the cruise control and ABS.

I've searched this issue and there is a precious post about it, although the fault was never resolved..

Any Advice..?

Cheers

Check all wiring from the battery out to all connections under the hood.

does the car run?

I had a problem like this with mine, the no dash light thing. In my case, it turned out to be the dimmer switch - bad.

If it's the same on your car, its the sliding (left to right) rheostat deal near the headlight switch..

I had a problem with the positive battery cable as well. It makes a nasty 90 degree bend that corrodes out over time... also under the fuse box where the main power line comes in...
