After Market Radio Installation 2003VolvoS60
Has anyone ever replaced a Volvo Factory radio with an aftermarket radio?
1.) I purchased the hardware (mounts, conversion cable, and antenna cable) to do this from Crutchfield.
- Was told that the steering wheel control interfaces (volume/sation switches) on the market are not compatible with the 2003 Volvo S60. Has anyone succesfully made this work on a aftermarket radio that supports such a feature.
2.) There are some posting that do not recommend I change out the Volvo radio because it will cause other issues. My local Volvo dealer tells me I need to have teh system programed to remove the radio.
My only issue with the factory radio I have is the AM stations do not come in clearly. If I could fix this issue I would be happy with the factory radio.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
