DEALERSHIP ERROR: driving with no oil / compression test
Yesterday I took my 2005 Volvo V50 into the Albuquerque dealership for an oil change, drove home 8 miles, and noticed the oil light went on. On inspection, the car had NO OIL IN IT WHATSOEVER. Today I took the car back to the dealership for testing to see what condition the engine is in. After leaving the car there all day I was jerked around by the service advisor who told me the car was fine because he had driven it around and they tested the compression, so I could just come down to pick it up! I asked for the compression and leak down numbers and in fact they had not done a true compression test (only a quick version) and so had no numbers by which to verify that the car is "fine". Upon my insistence, they finally did a compression test and the numbers read as follows:
dry compression test: 85/90/85/70/90
wet compression test: 95/110/100/120/115
HELP: Does anyone know what the V50 compression test numbers should be? And the leak down numbers?
