Default R brake upgrade

It is my humble opinion that the brakes on my 2001 V70T5 modulate poorly.
They are strong enough. However they go from mushy to teeth in the steering wheel fairly quickly.
Ive been looking for an upgrade. My first idea was the 17" upgrade (320mm rotor) used in Europe for Taxi's and Police. BTW my local dealer (Augusta, Georgia) had the numbers for the 17" kit in the system and listed as GB (Great Britten) only. However it appeard that this would be difficult to get. And this is a single pot solution and I was affraid to have the modulation issue. (-Does anyone have these brakes?)
So. I think the next solution (I dont have $$ 2,500.00 plus on a Big Brake kit). My bright idea is to put the "R" brake set on the V70.
This is what I know:
Brembo 4-Piston Aluminum Calipers;
Front Discs ventilated 330 x 32 mm and
Rear Discs ventilated 330 x 28 mm
The steering spindel (what the rotor and caliper attach to) is the same on the V70, XC, and "R" are the same. The master cylinder is the same. The vacume parts are the same, and the Braking vacume "pot" switch are the same.
The only difference is the caliper and the rotor and pads.
"R" brake parts:
30683412 Pad Kit
30645222 Rotor
8602682 caliper
8602683 caliper (other side)
Retail cost +/- approx: 1,000.00

Has anyone tried this? Want to try this? Think Im crazy?
-Joe
