Any interest or know anyone who wants (to purchase) a Multitester Pro - Volvo's scan tool for ~1987- 1998 cars. I have power supply cable to connect to the 6 prong obd1 underhood connector, all the cartridges, generic obd and even cables and cartridges for later cars. Used it in my shop and when I sold the new owners did not want it. I'm in Atlanta.
It's the factory tool for the 1996-1998 cars. Mostly just read codes. Has many modes - for example a 1998 it's needed to "pair" a new remote, and can reprogram the c70 -1994 convertible tops.. Many cartridges, s40, generic odb, and one for later CAN based cars. Can be used on all 1989-1998 Volvos with the included adapters. If your car was 1995 or earlier - there is a 6 port diagnostic box under the hood - this tool will plug into that with the power adapter and access all those functions. Some later cars have 2 of those, with connections for each system/module , 1996 -1998 plugs into the obd2 port and can access all the control units. Thanks. I'd like to have it; I don't think I could make a reasonable offer. I just want it for one car, and it's got 170,000 miles on it. So to me the value is very limited compared to what it would be worth to somebody that works on a lot of them. Obviously that is becoming less common.
Can you please confirm that this unit is able to re-calibrate the convertible top on a Volvo C70? VIDA with a DiCE seems to be able to do everything needed on my car except this.
I honestly can't confirm that. I never used the tool for that purpose - one of my techs might have - years ago. Paperwork with it says something about the ROPS (roll over protection system) on c70s thru 2004. I don't have access to a c70 to test it either. I'm in Atlanta if you are anywhere close.
