Default Donor 2006 V70 for 2001 v70 T5 body ?

Dear Volvo lovers,

i know engine and transmission are no match for my T5 from 2001, but how about body parts seats and dashboard , maybe exhaust and tires ?

Since I fixed and tuned most on my T5 and then a suicidal deer crossed my way and wracked my Hood side panel door and front assembly including the black metal part under the hood.

due to the amount of parts needed I would rather buy a complete car but can find only a cheap 2006 these days in the DC area.

please advise

Naranbata

I would go for it. They got a facelift to the bumpers and interior in 2004, but I'm betting it's nothing that your average DIY'er wouldn't be able to accommodate for. I think they put a transmission in those cars without the shift flare issue if you could swap it out. The engine I believe is the same, as long as the 2006 is a t5. Even if it's not, I believe the tranny would be able to be swapped out, but don't quote me on it. My '03 2.4t and my '01 t5 have the exact same transmission mounts, dipstick etc.
