Engine Swap between V70 and V70 xc

Hello,

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I have a 2000 Volvo V70 that was wrecked into. The engine is still fine, the damage was to the rear body. I found a 2000 V70 XC on Craigslist with a jacked engine but the body is perfect. Are the two compatible? Can I just swap out my good engine into the good body if I purchase it?

Also, the V70xc is AWD, the V70 is FWD, would that matter at all in this swap?

Its quite likely they have exactly the same engine. Best way to tell is by using the VIN to get the engine code to see if both have the B5244T engine (the 2.4L turbo)...
