head gasket prepping

Hi folks
I am replacing the head gasket on my V70 BASE.
What is the best way to prep the block before laying down the gasket?
Also is it best to put the gasket on dry or use a 3rd party sealer.

Just make sure the block surface is clean and dry. Also, make sure it isn't warped if you have a straight edge and feeler gauges.
