Looking for a complete engine-b5254t, b5234t3 or ob5254t8
I am looking for a clean, running engine with less than 100k miles. Salvage yards I have contacted have clapped out crap of unknown quality and I have already absorbed cost of shipping to send one back.
This is for a 1999 V70xc awd so it needs to come out of a 1999 or 2000 V, C, or S. Hit me back if you know of a good one. I am in Vermont.

Good luck, I spent nearly a year trying to find a new engine for my XC and I was within a few days of just parting the car. I found one locally with 126k on the clock out of a freshly wrecked S70 that I was able to get for $700.00 loaded into the back of my Suburban. Finding one under 100k is going to be very difficult. In my searching, most of the potential candidates that I found were on the east coast so that will help you on freight. I was always looking at an additional $300+ to get the engine shipped to Kansas City.
My engine came with alot of extras so I am selling them to get some of my engine costs back. It came with all of the accessories, the ETM, the intake and exhaust manifolds, and the turbo. I also have my old cylinder head and cams.
Be patient is my only advice and I will keep an eye out for you. I ran across a low mileage engine last week at a local junk yard where I was buying some interior trim pieces and seats, I went back a few days later to get the drive shaft and the engine and angle gear were gone so they didn't last long.

I ended up getting an engine through LKQ corp, which means....through one of the many many regional recyclers LKQ corp has acquired over the last coup,e of years as they seek to totally dominate the salvage market. The engine I bought was advertised as a70k mile engine and I paid quite a premium for their "4 star" rating. Engine got to the Volvo dealer who in turn said - there is no way this is a 70k mile engine, and it was more likely 170k, and based on the condition they strongly recommended I not use it. So back it went. Wasted two weeks of my time and of course LKQ doesn't want to refund either the outbund or return shipping so I wasted 500 bucks on that. I would completely avoid LKQ coporation going forward. But for the purpose of this thread, I will just note that I did get a motor from another salvage provider, and it looked a lot better, and we will see how it actually does workout.
