I recently replaced the rear view mirror in my V70 XC Country wagon.
Discovered the key fob would not operate electric locks. Attempted the turn key to #2 position 5 times. 5th time leave it on #2 position wait for red dash light to flash. Never flashed. Did not work. Found out it does not work after 98. Volvo told me I actually need the car the new mirror came off of. I am pretty sure they were drunk !! The seller of the mirror sent the bar codes with it. I don't know if anyone has any suggestions other than try to find a locksmith with the Volvo software to reprogram it ?
