Resurrecting old fuel pump relay thread

https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-v70-13/fuel-relay-location-55675/

original thread link. Relay 103 is marked as Fuel Pump Relay. Requires removing (4) T-25 torx screws to access. Is there a secret hold-down clip on this relay as on 101?
Do you need a special tool to remove the relay?
Would it not be easier & as effective if the intent is to stop the pump from operating to pull the 20amp fuse link?

No clips. It is rather difficult to remove because it's surrounded by other items.

Just want to make sure I don't make something that is functioning non-functional.

Have you a favorite tool from removing said fuel pump relay?

When accomplishing a compression test, would removing the fuel pump fuse also serve the same purpose for halting the flow of fuel to the fuel rail & dumping it into the cylinders?

Thanks for all replies.

1. Fingers, maybe a pry tool after removing relays that are in the way

2. Never did that, it's not going to be that much, just check the compression and move on to your next task.
