Default Smashed Corner Light

Hi everyone,

My 98 V70 was in a fender bender last month and my driver's side corner light was smashed. I replaced it and installed the new bulb. Did the other side too.
For some reason the side that was smashed will not light up as a parking light or when the headlights are turned on. At this point it only works as a signal light and nothing else.. Any ideas??

THANKS!

check fuses, particularly if the running lights were on when you were hit - it may have shorted and blown the fuse. also make sure the connector is not cracked and the pins are making good contact.

I had this same issue. I hit a deer and busted the turn signal housing and lense. I replaced the light bulb with the 1175A bulb from Advance Auto Parts. The turn signal was dim and slow. On the dash the left turn signal stayed illuminated.

My issue was that I wasn't getting the buld seated into the socket causing a short between the running light cuircut and the turn signal cuircut. I trimmed the leads on the bottom of the buld to let it seat properly.

Good luck and God bless,
Russell
