Default volvo v70 electrical issues. :'(

Hi y'all, i currently own a 99 v70, with the 2.4, 5 cyl and am suffering due to an electrical fault that has me tearing (what little) hair i have left out!! a couple of weeks back i started the car and we noticed a burning smell (electrical burning) then several electrical items failed to operate, blowers, horn, stereo, indicators, wipers, headlights, reversing lights, the car has been in and out of the garage a couple of times and they replaced the 50a 'Fuses in Supplementary fuse box 50 A' main fuse under the bonnet, 3 times! it lasts a little while but then blows again, just wondering any ideas? anyone seen this before? cheers in advance!

Default

The fuse blows when some part of the electrical circuit tries to draw more than 50 amps. My guess is there's an intermittent short circuit somewhere, but given that it's the main fuse blowing tracking that down could be a pain.

Have any other fuses blown, to maybe give a sense of what system the short might be in?
